Jessica Chastain

JessicaJessica Michelle Chastain (born March 24, 1977) is an American actress and producer. Her films that deal with the theme of women are her mainstay. She has been awarded numerous awards including an Academy Award as well as an Academy Award and a Golden Globe Award. Time magazine named her one of the top 100 people in the world in 2012. Chastain discovered an interest in acting as a child and made her professional stage debut in 1998 as Shakespeare's Juliet. She studied acting at Juilliard School and was then signed to a talent-holding deal with John Wells, a television producer. She was a regular guest star on a variety of television shows and played roles in various stage productions. Chastain's film debut was in Jolene (2008) at the age of 31 years old. In 2011, Chastain achieved her breakthrough by releasing six films including The Tree of Life (2011), Take Shelter (2011), and The Tree of Life (2012). Chastain received Academy Award nominations for playing an aspirational socialite in the period drama The Help (2011) and as a CIA analyst in the thriller Zero Dark Thirty (2012). The science fiction films Interstellar (2014), The Martian (2015) and It Chapter Two (2018) were more commercially successful. The strong-willed character of Chastain in the dramas The Most Valuable Year (2014), Miss Sloane (2016), Molly's Game (2017) and Scenes from a Marriage (2021) were also praised. In the biopic The Eyes of Tammy Faye (1921), she was Tammy Faye Bakker. She received the Academy Award as Best Actress. Tammy Wynette was the miniseries George & Tammy (222).
